From Humble Beginnings to Nationwide Success

In May of 1986, Rick embarked on an entrepreneurial journey, purchasing a small distributorship called Safeguard. This venture began humbly, with Rick operating out of a spare bedroom in his house, symbolizing the modest start of what was to become a remarkable business story.


Over the next three decades, Safeguard began to grow and underwent several relocations each move signifying a new chapter of growth and opportunity. During these years, opportunities to purchase other Safeguard distributorships emerged. These strategic acquisitions, coupled with organic growth, propelled the business to new heights. Today, the business stands as a testament to enduring vision and hard work. With two brick and mortar office locations and a team of seasoned professionals spread across the United States, the company thrives. Its mature management team, supported by well-trained professionals, works diligently every day to maintain the high standards set from the very beginning. Safeguard journey from a spare bedroom to a national presence is not just a business success story; it's a tale of perseverance, vision, and relentless pursuit of excellence.

Rick purchases a small distributorship and starts the business in a spare bedroom of his house. During lunchtime you might find him buying a hot dog from the Chevron station and charging it on his Chevron gas card.

The business moves into its first office, marking a significant milestone in its growth. At this time we were mostly selling one-write systems, filing systems, envelopes and statements, invoices, checks.

The team focused on cold calling day after day, developing referral sources, and organic growth.

Safeguard branched out from just selling printed products and began selling promotional products and apparel.

The business eventually settles in its current office at 5855 Coca Cola Blvd, Columbus, Ga. Where it began taking advantage of opportunities to purchase other distributorships throughout the central and eastern time zones, fueling further growth.

The management team was developed and trained to ensure efficient daily operations and streamlined processes.

Safeguard celebrated it's 30th anniversary with employees and friends at the Columbus Botanical Garden.

We began hosting our yearly trade shows to showcase various products in the print, promotion, and apparel industry.

The sales team began attending trade shows all throughout the southeast to grow the business even further!

Today Safeguard has office buildings in Columbus, Georgia and St. Louis, Missouri and remote sales and customer service representatives in various locations throughout the US. The team thrives and regularly celebrates with team building events, Christmas parties, sales contests, lunches, picnics, annual trainings and events.
